Gulf Breeze Garbage and Recycling Services

2008

 

Effective March 1, 2008 the City of Gulf Breeze will change its collection services and schedules for residents inside the 32561 area.  Please read through the material below.  If you have questions or wish to alter the type of service you receive you may email garbage@cityofgulfbreeze.com

 

In summary, the changes in service are as follows:

  • Garbage collection will be reduced from twice a week to once a week;
  • Recyclable collection will change from weekly collection of 18 gallon bins to every other week collection of 96 gallon karts;
  • No change to yard waste collection (still on Wednesdays – material must be bagged, bundled or in bins)
  • Monthly fees for standard curbside service will decrease from $17.68 to $16.50

New Collection Days:

  • Mondays – Garbage Collection all houses on interior of the Shoreline / Fairpoint loop
  • Tuesdays – Garbage Collection all houses  on exterior of the Shoreline / Fairpoint loop and west of  Hwy 98
  • Wednesday – Yard waste collection throughout the City of Gulf Breeze
  • Thursday – Garbage Collection all houses east of Hwy 98
  • Friday – Recycling collection on alternate weeks Blue Zone then Gray Zone (are you Blue zone or Gray zone? See Below)

Note:  Fairpoint residents: Northside – Tuesdays; Southside – Mondays

               Shoreline residents: Northside – Mondays; Southside -- Tuesdays

Note:  Fairpoint residents between Highpoint and Sunset:

               Northside – Blue Zone; Southside – Gray Zone

These route changes do not have an impact on condominium collection nor on commercial collection routes.
